Parliamentary speeches During a typical sitting day I am able to make speeches and ask questions on issues that affect or are important to the residents of Southport, raise issues of public importance, debate legislation, present petitions on behalf of constituents and speak on condolence motions. You can access my speeches, questions on notice and questions without notice by clicking on one of the highlighted sections below. Questions without notice are asked of Ministers and answered during Question Time. Questions on notice are usually asked when a more detailed answer is required and are in writing, and are forwarded by the Clerk of the Parliament to the relevant Minister who prepares a written answer which is presented to Parliament.
