"Particularly at this time of year, it is great to see these groups continuing their work and getting their projects off the ground with the support of the Queensland Government," Mr Lawlor said.
"Almost all not-for-profit community groups based in Queensland are eligible to apply, and the Fund has the flexibility to provide funds for a broad range of projects large and small."

Since Mr Lawlor's inception as the Member for Southport in 2001, Southport community groups have shared in $2.8 million worth of funding.
Recommendations on grant applications to the Fund are made by an independent committee appointed by the Deputy Premier, Treasurer and Minister for Infrastructure.
Revenue for the Fund is generated from levies placed on Golden Casket lotteries, wagering, keno, and gaming machines in Queensland.
Queensland based organisations can apply for up to $30,000 for standard projects, and larger grants may be considered for more complex projects.
