If you are considering starting your own business or looking to develop a great plan for your business then the Gold Coast Centre has the thing for you.
This month the Centre is offering two workshops for locals who have identified a desire to start their own business or purchase an established business.
Tourism, Regional Development and Industry Minister Desley Boyle said the Considering a Business seminar is a valuable tool for those who are interested in starting their own business.
"In Considering a Business, participants will hear about key issues they need to consider when starting or buying a business," Ms Boyle said.
"The seminar serves as a great source of knowledge.
"Participants will be provided with a "Research Workbook" which they can take home to help with their decision making processes," she said.
Director for the Department's Gold Coast Regional Centre Tracey Gilmore said Planning for Success, the second workshop on offer for August complemented the first one nicely.
"Successful enterprises start with a detailed plan of how they intend to conduct business," Dr Gilmore said.
"Planning for Success is ideal for people who do not yet have a plan for their business, or know how to measure their business's success.
"The workshop is ideal for them as it provides them with the knowledge and skills necessary to improve their business and an opportunity to work through the Business Process Planning Model, which will help them determine what they need to include in their plan," she said.
