Mr LAWLOR asked the Minister for Public Works, Housing and Information and Communication Technology (MR SCHWARTEN) -
QUESTION: Will the Minister advise how many bond loans have been provided to residents of the Southport Electorate during the current and previous financial years and the value of these bond loans?

The Department of Housing offers a Bond Loan which is an interest free loan to assist eligible Queenslanders who cannot afford to pay the full bond to move into private rental accommodation. The table below provides details of the value of bond loans to residents of the Southport Electorate from 1 July 2004 to 31 October 2007.
