Finding out about concessions and discounts for Queensland concession card holders is now much easier, thanks to the release of a new and improved brochure.
The Minister for Communities, Disability Services and Seniors, Warren Pitt, today released the latest edition of the Queensland Government's Concessions Made Easy brochure.
Peter Lawlor, Member for Southport said the publication contained a wealth of information, with details on a range of Queensland Government concessions, available to holders of a Pensioner Concession Card, Repatriation Health Gold Card, Queensland Government Seniors Card and Health Care Card. The new brochure also contains information on student travel concessions.
"State concessions aim to improve quality of life for a range of eligible people by reducing the cost of regular household bills and allowing them to access essential services," Mr Lawlor said.
"This can include pensioners, seniors, carers, veterans, people with a disability, sole parents, disadvantaged families and students.
"Concessions Made Easy provides information about the range of Queensland Government concessions available and their benefits, along with eligibility criteria.
"The brochure is easy-to-read and includes contact numbers to make accessing government services and information easier and more convenient."
Mr Pitt encouraged eligible cardholders to ensure they were fully aware of their entitlements in order to reap the maximum benefit from the concession schemes.
"The Queensland Government is committed to providing assistance to Queensland families and communities, particularly for those most in need, and contributes significant funds to provide these concessions," he said.
