MR LAWLOR asked the Minister for Energy and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Policy (MR MICKEL)-
Will he detail capital expenditure on generation (including co-generation), transmission and distribution in the Gold Coast statistical division for 2003-04?
ANSWER-
I thank the Honourable Member for the Question.
I am advised that electricity transmission projects in the Gold Coast statistical division for 2003-04 included the establishment of the 275 kilovolt Molendinar Substation with a project cost of $9.3 million.
In 2003-04 the electricity distribution entity, ENERGEX undertook capital work programs with a total value of $51.412 million in the Gold Coast statistical division. The programmed works were carried out under the broad categories of street lights and subdivision works, distribution augmentation works and sub transmission works.
