“In the heart of Queensland's Great Barrier Reef lie the Whitsundays, 74 islands floating like jewels in the tropical warm waters of the Coral Sea,” Mr Lawlor said.
Member for Whitsundays Jan Jarratt said the region was honoured Ms Mok had chosen the Whitsundays to shoot her next photo album and music video in Queensland, potentially showcasing the region to millions of viewers worldwide.
“Some of the shoots took place on Hamilton Island and at Whitehaven Beach, which are both popular international tourist destinations in the Whitsundays,” she said.
“It’s fantastic these locations will hopefully help to entice more Asians to make their next overseas holiday a trip to the Whitsundays.”
