New SES Replacement Vehicle for Southport |

Member for Southport Peter Lawlor today welcomed news that Gold Coast City Council were to receive a replacement vehicle for the Southport SES in the 2010-2011 round of State Emergency Service non-recurrent Subsidy Program. Peter Lawlor said the new vehicle would boost the service capabilities of the organisation in the area. “The addition of new vehicle to the local Southport Emergency Service is a great win for our local community,” Mr Lawlor said. “The new vehicle is a $34,000 investment into the Southport area.” “The team at Southport State Emergency Service do a terrific job and it’s important they remain properly equipped.” “It’s great to see the State Government continuing to work with our local service organisations so they can maintain their high levels of community service.” “I want to congratulate Southport State Emergency Service on their successful application and thank them for their continuing hard work.” The total budget for the program’s 2010-11 period is $317,000.
