Asked on 10 February 2010 MR BLEIJIE ASKED THE TREASURER AND MINISTER FOR EMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (MR FRASER)—

With reference to research and innovation incentives in Queensland—

(1) Is the Sunshine Coast considered part of the Greater Brisbane region for research and development initiatives for government investment opportunities?

(2) Has the Innovation Centre, Sippy Downs, in my electorate been considered as a possible institute site for benefit from government investment into research and innovation?

ANSWER:

(1) No.

(2) Yes – we have invested $1.35 million in the Centre.
