- Thank you for inviting me here tonight to the official opening of the new Enterprise Centre.
- The construction of the building started Two years ago and I can still remember taking photo’s with Rob and some students at the original announcement of the funding.
- The $2.5 million Hospitality and Business Enterprise Centre for Southport State High School will help students prepare for successful careers in the business and hospitality industries
- It will allow students access to certificate courses and small business training, this comes with the support of the local business community.
- The high level of training that will be undertaken in this building will prepare students for great careers and I’m confident the Enterprise Centre will prove very popular with students.
- The project reflects the Bligh Government’s commitment to education and for all students to reach their potential.
- Just over a month ago the school and Enterprise Centre played host to the Premier and Cabinet for the Bligh Government’s 15th Community Cabinet.
- The event was a great success and allowed me to show off the fantastic new building here at the school
