Paradise Kids is a Gold Coast Children’s Charity founded in 1996 to help children learn life-skills to deal with grief through death, loss or illness. The Migrant Centre Organisation Inc. GCPHY provides supported crisis accommodation at Lawson House for young people aged 12 to 17 years and supported medium term accommodation at Bannister House for young people aged 16 to 17 years. In an average year, GCPHY accommodates 160 young people. Little Souls Taking Big Steps was established in 2007. We are a Child Care Centre and Early Intervention Centre for children with Autism. We cater for children aged between 2 – 6 years of age. The children with ASD who attend our Centre take part in 1:1 ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis) Therapy sessions daily. Set Free Care supports and cares for the needy on the Gold Coast. Every Tuesday & Thursday we provide food assistance by serving lunch and giving out food parcels between 11am and 1pm. The Australian Air League is a youth organisation for boys and girls aged from 8 to 18 with an interest in aviation and aircraft. It promotes citizenship, confidence, leadership and teamwork.  Lung And Respiratory Friends are a group of people who have, or help support someone who has, breathing difficulties caused by all types of respiratory conditions. LARF works very closely with the Queensland Health H.E.A.L.  program  (Health Education Activity Lifestyle).  This program runs education and exercise courses for people with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease}.  Phone Central Intake on 1300 668 936 for more information.

LARF holds four meetings per year  on the first Friday of March June, September and December.  We have guest speakers on a range of topics of interest.  The meetings conclude with a sumptuous offering of refreshments and the opportunity of talking to others who are similarly affected.

On a purely social basis, LARF holds lunches on the first Wednesday of February, April, May, July, August, October and November – again, a good opportunity to share experiences.   The membership fee to LARF is $10 per year.

Gold Coast Masters Football is for players aged 40 and over. It is played every Wednesday night from January through to November at Burleigh Soccer Club located at Pizzey Park. Come along for some Fun, Friendship, Fitness & Football. We’ll slot you into a Team and you’re away, it’s as easy as that. To qualify, you must be turning 40 years of age or older this calendar year. Ladies & Goalkeepers must be turning 30 years of age or older this calendar year.  Fees are $140 for half year and $250 for full year. If you’re not sure how you’ll go, come along and give it a trial for $10 per game for two games.
