    New legislation for neighbourhood disputes is now in effect

    The Neighbourhood Disputes Resolution Act came into effect on November 1 and sets clear and simple ground rules about who is responsible for maintaining trees and dividing fences and how to recover costs for trimming overhanging trees if a neighbour does not take appropriate action.
